PER KESSELMAR - paintings / OTTO BOLL - sculptures
What the works of Per Kesselmar and Otto Boll have in common is the play between observation and perception. The viewer may surrender to this play and be drawn into the interaction of work, space and positioning.
In their first joint exhibition in Galerie Dierking on the Zurich Paradeplatz, Per Kesselmar's painting and Otto Boll's spatial sculpture are not simply juxtaposed; the artists themselves curated the exhibition, establishing interrelationships with great care.
While the oil paintings on metal plates draw the viewer under their spell, creating their own colour space, the filigree sculptures challenge him to perceive the work and the space more keenly, and to re-define them.
